Choose a snow-foam lance for the gun you actually own, then compare the reservoir, chemical instructions and service parts. A listing that mentions Kärcher is not enough: domestic K-series fittings, professional equipment and modified short guns can use different connections.
The three options here take different approaches. Kärcher’s FJ 6 is a compact attachment, Autoglym’s Polar Blaster is arranged around its Polar routine, and the selected MJJC Pro listing provides a larger reservoir and a spare mesh filter. None is a measured performance winner for every washer. Match the equipment first, then decide which features solve a real problem in your wash.
Identify the gun before choosing the lance
Read the washer’s model information and inspect the gun-to-accessory connection with the system shut down and depressurised. Include any replacement trigger gun or conversion already fitted. An accessory that fits the original gun may not connect directly to a short gun with a different socket.
For the FJ 6, Kärcher specifies K 2–K 7 compatibility and separately identifies an exception for older M, 96 and 97 trigger guns, which require Adapter M. That is a useful reminder that a familiar machine number does not tell the whole story. Our connector-identification guide explains the joins and the information to record.
Three foam attachments to compare
| Option | Reservoir in the selected listing | Practical distinction | Check carefully |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kärcher FJ 6 | 600ml | Compact attachment with adjustable feed | K-series gun and older-trigger exception |
| Autoglym Polar Blaster | 800ml | Supplied K-series connector and separate quick-release head join | Polar chemical method and regular flushing |
| MJJC Pro with K adapter | 1,200ml | Larger reservoir and a spare mesh filter listed | Exact supplied Pro version, fitting and flow requirements |
Kärcher FJ 6: a compact attachment
The FJ 6 makes sense when you want a relatively small reservoir and an accessory described by the washer manufacturer. Its detergent feed and spray direction can be adjusted, but that adjustment does not remove the need to follow the chemical’s directions.
Check that you are ordering the nozzle on its own if that is what you need. Similar listings bundle detergent, multiple nozzles or other accessories. Compare like-for-like contents before treating one basket as cheaper or more complete.
For a compact K-series foam attachment
Kärcher FJ 6 Foam Jet 600ml
A 600ml foam attachment with an adjustable detergent feed and spray direction. The selected listing is the nozzle on its own, rather than a shampoo or multipack bundle.
- 600ml reservoir
- Adjustable detergent feed
- K-series gun fitting
Kärcher specifies K 2–K 7 fit. Older M, 96 and 97 trigger guns require Adapter M; check the actual gun and the chemical instructions. Rinse through after use.
Autoglym Polar Blaster: a Polar-system option
The Polar Blaster has a supplied K-series connector and a separate quick-release join at the foam head. Those are two different interfaces. The head connection does not turn the included black K-series adapter into a universal fitting for any pressure-washer gun.
Autoglym describes product-specific settings and mixtures for Polar Blast, Polar Wash and Polar Seal. Choose it when that intended routine suits you, and keep the pre-wash, contact-wash and protection directions separate. Similar product names do not make the three bottles interchangeable.
For the Autoglym Polar routine
Autoglym Polar Blaster
An 800ml foam lance supplied with a Kärcher K-series connector and a quick-release join at the foam head. Its adjustable feed and spray pattern are intended for the Polar product range.
- 800ml listed capacity
- K-series connector included
- Separate quick-release head join
This is a pressure-washer attachment, not a garden-hose foamer. Follow the Polar product’s bottle mixture and flush the head and reservoir after use; do not leave diluted chemical stored in it.
MJJC Pro: a larger bottle and service-part route
The selected MJJC listing supplies a K-series adapter, a listed 1,200ml reservoir and a spare mesh filter. That can be useful if you prefer a larger bottle or want a documented route to replacing a blocked filter after diagnosis. A larger reservoir also means more weight to manage when full.
Confirm the actual Pro revision supplied before ordering later bottles, filters, seals or nozzles. A product-family name and a similar-looking body do not prove every generation shares every component. The K-adapter listing is also distinct from a version supplied only with a 1/4-inch quick connector.
For a larger reservoir and replaceable filter
MJJC Foam Cannon Pro with Kärcher K adapter
The selected Pro listing has a 1,200ml tank, Kärcher K adapter and a spare mesh filter. A useful alternative when reservoir handling and access to model-specific spares matter.
- 1,200ml listed reservoir
- Kärcher K adapter supplied
- Spare mesh filter listed
Confirm the exact Pro version supplied, washer flow requirements and gun fitting. Do not substitute the 1/4-inch-only listing for a standard K-series gun or assume every Pro-generation part is interchangeable.
Compare working requirements, not just a maximum bar figure
The washer, water supply, gun and lance work together. A large maximum-pressure figure on an attachment is a limit, not evidence that a small machine will produce a particular foam. Confirm the lance’s flow and operating requirements against your exact washer rather than choosing on pressure alone.
Do not change an orifice merely because another owner used a different size. A smaller opening is not a universal upgrade and can change how the equipment behaves. Use only the configuration approved for the exact accessory and machine, or obtain confirmation from the manufacturer.
If your existing attachment suddenly produces thin foam, work through watery-foam checks first. Wrong chemical, a blocked pickup or changed settings can imitate a failed lance. Buying a second one does not diagnose those causes.
Reservoir size changes handling, not the required concentration
Use a measured working fill rather than treating the bottle’s capacity as a compulsory recipe. Keep within its fill instructions and leave the space required for its design. A 600ml fill and a 1,000ml fill can use the same intended bottle concentration, but the amount of concentrate differs.
More importantly, the bottle mixture is diluted again as the pressure washer adds water. A product that specifies a panel-impact ratio needs a measurement of the actual setup. Our PIR guide and calculator explain that step. Do not compare chemical use by bottle capacity alone.
Plan how you will clean and store it
Rinse the reservoir and flush the foam path according to the accessory instructions after use. Dried product can restrict the pickup or filter and change the output next time. Keep the head, bottle and connector protected from grit and inspect the sealing surfaces before reassembly.
Check the availability and identity of spares before buying, especially when the filter or reservoir is a replaceable component. Use the maintenance guide to separate routine rinsing from a repair. A leaking or damaged pressure connection is a reason to stop, not a reason to add more tape or force.
The useful buying decision
- Choose the gun fitting before the bottle size.
- Confirm the washer’s actual operating requirements.
- Buy the pack contents you need, rather than an accidental detergent bundle.
- Prefer a reservoir you can support comfortably around the vehicle.
- Keep chemical dosing and replacement-part instructions with the lance.
If your existing attachment fits, draws correctly and can be cleaned, keep it while improving the rest of the routine. Change equipment when you can identify the gap it will fill.
Common questions
Will a Kärcher K-series lance fit a professional HD washer?
Do not assume it will. Professional connections, including EASY!Lock systems, are a different compatibility question. Identify the actual gun and accessory interface and use the manufacturer’s matching guidance before ordering an adapter.
Do older Kärcher guns need an adapter?
Some do. Kärcher identifies Adapter M for the older M, 96 and 97 trigger guns when using the FJ 6. Check the trigger-gun identity rather than assuming every K-series machine uses the same accessory connection.
Is a larger foam bottle better?
It offers more reservoir space, but also adds filled weight and can be harder to support. The useful size depends on your working fill and routine. It does not establish cleaning performance or the concentration that reaches the panel.
Can I attach these to a garden hose?
These are pressure-washer foam attachments, not ordinary garden-hose foamers. They need the specified gun connection and operating conditions. A hand-pumped foam sprayer is another category with a different mixing and application method.
Should I change the orifice for thicker foam?
Only use changes approved for the exact lance and washer. Check chemical choice, pickup, water supply, settings and cleanliness first. A nozzle size recommended for someone else’s machine is not a universal solution.
